Export Excel

Several users have reported problems when trying to export to Excel from QlikView 10 when using Internet Explorer 8 and Windows 7.
We are searching for a solution to this problem but we have not yet found the solution. However, there are some options that can be tested.
The document also lists workarounds.

Add the QlikView servers to trusted sites.
  • Open Internet Explorer Options:
    IE options
  • Open Sheet Security and select trusted sites:
    IE trusted sites
  • Add the following websites to trusted sites:
    • http://sto1w01
    • http://10.216.210.14
    • http://extranetds.schenker.nu
  • Close all Internet Explorer windows and try again.

Turn of User Account Control (UAC) in Windows 7.
  • Open Start->Control Panel->User Accounts.

  • Click Change User Account Control settings.
  • Move the Slider to Never Notify.

  • Reboot your computer.

If adding to trusted sites does not work then you can try and lower the security level on trusted sites.
  • Open Internet Explorer Options:
    IE options
  • Open Sheet Security and select trusted sites:
    IE trusted sites
  • Set the security level to medium-low. Don't forget to restore the security-level if the change has no effect!
  • Close all Internet Explorer windows and try again.

 
If Export to excel still doesn't work there are workarounds to get the data into excel.

Export to csv file.
  • Right Click on table to export and select Export:
    Export menu
  • Select Comma delimited file and save the file:
    IE trusted sites
  • Open the saved Comma delimited file in Excel.

Copy table to clipboard
  • Right Click on table to export and select Copy to Clipboard -> Full Table:
    Copy to Clipboard menu
  • Paste the content of the clipboard into Excel.
